You land at Lulea airport in Swedish Lapland, at the edge of the Arctic circle. You leave for your hotel (optional private transfer), a very special place lost in the forest, where you will sleep in a stunning contemporary tree house. You have dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, where the owners serve local specialities in a warm and friendly atmosphere. You sleep in your designer tree house.
A day to discover the traditions of the Saami, Scandinavia’s native people, whose lifestyle is perfectly adapted to Lapland’s nature. You visit a Saami village where you are greeted by a family of locals who introduce you to their culture, legends and traditions. You walk (in summer) or ride a snowmobile (in winter) to a lake where you enjoy a typical lunch around a campfire. Back at your hotel in the mid afternoon, you enjoy some free time to relax. Option: a relaxing session in your hotel’s sauna. Option: in the evening, you have dinner in a traditional Saami tepee tent where you get to taste typical delicacies. You spend the night in your designer tree house.
In the morning, you go on a horse sleigh ride through Lapland’s snow-covered plains (option: an extended ride of three extra hours). You have lunch in a restaurant of your choice, and enjoy a free afternoon to relax and enjoy the hotel’s sauna. Option: you have dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Option: you go on a dogsled expedition to watch the northern lights: an unforgettable display of multi-coloured lights. You spend the night in your designer tree house.
You have breakfast at your hotel and proceed to Lulea airport (optional private transfer) for your return flight.
