You land at Istanbul’s Atatürk airport in the early afternoon and head to your hotel (optional private transfer).
Located in the heart of Istanbul, close to its monuments and thriving markets, your hotel is a classic and timeless palace with breathtaking views of the city. Since its creation in the “Belle Époque”, it has welcomed many prestigious hosts, from Agatha Christie to Alfred Hitchcock.
Option: in the afternoon, you sail off for a 2h excursion on the Bosphorus aboard a private yacht – with amazing views of the countless ships, ferries, freighters or tankers sailing across the strait. You discover the yalis: the beautifully restored holiday houses made of sculpted wood that were built on the shore by rich Istanbulites.
Option: you have dinner at your restaurant’s hotel, where you will sample a fusion of French, Italian and Turkish cuisines in a setting reminiscent of Agatha Christie’s novels. You spend the night in your palace hotel.
In the morning, guided tour of Istanbul’s most magical monuments: the majestic cupolas of Hagia Sophia, the ornaments of the Blue Mosque, the historical Hippodrome… You wander around the small alleys of Istanbul’s famous Bazaar, full of fragrant and colourful stalls. You have lunch in a restaurant of your choice. In the early afternoon, a chauffeur drives you from your hotel to Atatürk airport for a late afternoon flight to Cappadocia. You land at Kayseri airport and drive to your hotel (optional private transfer). In the heart of the town, your hotel is an incredible troglodyte home: a typical construction in the region, its rooms and salons are embedded in the mountainside rock, with beautiful vaulted ceilings. Option: a candlelit dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, that serves delicious regional food on one of the hotel’s terraces, with stunning views of Cappadocia’s surreal landscapes. You spend the night in your troglodyte hotel.
In the morning, you leave with a private guide onboard a Jeep for a discovery tour of the region’s incredible landscapes: canyons, small villages that seem frozen in time, moonlike landscapes with their famous “fairy chimneys”… Lunch is included in the tour. Back at your hotel in the late afternoon, you enjoy a bit of free time to relax, before heading out for dinner. Option: you have dinner in a restaurant in a stone house – a modern version of yesterday’s caravanserais, whose terraces offer stunning views of the city. Option: immerse yourself in the sufi tradition, with a spinning dervish performance. A unique moment to discover the roots of Cappadocian culture. Night in your troglodyte hotel.
In the morning, you drive to Kayseri airport (optional private transfer) to catch your flight to Istanbul. You fly off from Atatürk in the late morning.
